Head coach of the Pencak silat Vietnam Team - Mr. Nguyen Van Hung said that the whole team strives to win 2 gold medals in 13 events organized this time. Today, November 15, the squad participating in the 33rd SEA Games of pencak silat Vietnam gathered fully.
Recently, some players participated in the 2025 National Pencak Silat Cup in Gia Lai. They will return to practice at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center (Hanoi) after completing the competition. On the same day, November 15, 2 athletes in the performance event will participate in the 33rd SEA Games to participate in training.
The Vietnamese pencak silat team registered to participate in 12 athletes in 12 events at the 33rd SEA Games.
In which, we have 10 players for the competition and 2 players for the performance. Everyone is doing a high level of professional preparation at this time to carry out tactical tactics to ensure the results as set out, coach Nguyen Van Hung added.
The squad participating in the 33rd SEA Games of the pencak silat Vietnam team has 2 fighters who won gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia, Nguyen Tan Sang and Tran Duy Tuyen.
The Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games pencak silat will compete in 13 events with 8 weightlifting categories for men, 2 weightlifting categories for women and 3 performance events (2 events for men, 1 event for women).
The entire pencak silat Vietnam team will practice domestically until they leave for Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
