Boxer Dieu Ly wins a place in the 2025 Karate World Championship finals

The Vietnamese karate team continued to successfully win a place in the 2025 World Championship finals with the case of Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly.

On the night of October 18 (Vietnam time), in the qualifying round of the 2025 Karate World Championship held in France, martial artist Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly competed successfully to reach the final round.

The female player competed in the women's 61kg weight class. Initially, she lost 1-3 to opponent Boricic Nadja (Mon reinro). In the next match, Dieu Ly won 7-0 against Zorko Mia Greta (Croatia). With this result, she entered the next knockout round.

In this round, Dieu Ly defeated opponent Lewandowska Katarzyna (Poland). Dieu Ly's achievements were officially awarded by the World Karate Federation to participate in the finals of the 2025 World Karate Championship which will take place in November in Cairo (Egypt).

The Vietnamese karate team registered 2 players to compete in the qualifying round in France. Both fighters were successful, earning a place in the finals.

The Vietnamese karate team once won an official spot to participate in the women's team kumite event at the 2024 Karate World Team Championship. This year, Vietnamese fighters continue to win a place in the 2025 World Cup finals.

In May this year, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly competed in the 2025 Asian Championship in Uzbekistan to win a gold medal in the women's team kumite event. This is a young fighter with good professional qualifications that karate Vietnam possesses at the present time.
