Domestic coffee prices
On November 11, coffee prices in key Central Highlands regions turned down, losing an average of VND700/kg, bringing the average price in the whole region down to VND118,700/kg. This decrease has erased part of the results of yesterday's explosive increase.
Specifically, in Dak Nong (old), the price decreased the most by VND 1,200/kg, down to VND 118,500/kg. Dak Lak and Lam Dong both decreased by 600 VND/kg, to 119,000 VND/kg and 117,600 VND/kg. Gia Lai suffered the slightest decrease of VND300/kg, to VND118,600/kg.
World coffee prices
The international coffee market (tradacted on November 10) witnessed a clear differentiation. Robusta ( London) prices have been adjusted down by 25 USD/ton (-0.53%), closing at 4,637 USD/ton.
In contrast, Arabica (New York) continued to increase by 6.95 US cents/lb (+1.70%), closing at 414.75 US cents/lb. Robusta's price decline is the main reason for domestic prices to decrease.
Coffee price assessment and forecast
Today's trading session is a technical adjustment after a shocking increase. Robusta prices fell again due to profit-taking pressure, while Arabica continued to increase strongly, showing that the market is still focusing on long-term risks.
The biggest supporting factor for prices is still the inventory crisis ( Arabica is the lowest in 1.75 years, Robusta is the lowest in 3.5 months) due to the impact of US-Brazil tariffs. Although there is hope for the tariffs to be lifted, prices will still be supported as long as there is a shortage. In addition, the risk of La Nina (a prolonged drought in Brazil) is still a major concern.
The downward pressure (on Robusta) is still an abundant supply from Vietnam. Our country's coffee exports in the first 10 months of 2025 increased by 13.4% and information about a bumper crop is still putting pressure.
The market is expected to continue to struggle. Arabica prices are supported by inventories, while Robusta is held back by new supply. Domestic prices will fluctuate according to the London Stock Exchange.
