Domestic coffee prices
In the domestic market, coffee bean sprouts continue to increase, with the national average reaching 122,500 VND/kg.
The average coffee price in Dak Lak is 122,500 VND/kg, while Lam Dong is 121,800 VND/kg, Gia Lai is 122,200 VND/kg and Dak Nong (old) is 122,700 VND/kg. Compared to the previous session, the common increase was 100 VND/kg.
Compared to the beginning of the year, when domestic coffee prices average around 119,000 - 119,800 VND/kg, the current coffee price is about 2,500 VND/kg higher.
World coffee prices
At the end of last weekend's session, on the London Stock Exchange, Robusta coffee prices recorded mixed fluctuations. The September 2025 term contract closed at 5,001 USD/ton, down 7 USD, while the longer terms increased simultaneously: November 2025 reached 4,815 USD/ton, January 2026 at 4,703 USD/ton, March 2026 to 4,623 USD/ton and May 2026 reached 4,566 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, arabica coffee prices continued to increase strongly. The September 2025 term contract reached 396.85 cents/pound, up 9.10 cents; the December 2025 term closed at 386.10 cents/pound, up 8.60 cents. Longer terms from March to July 2026 also increased by 5.40 to 6.95 cents/pound.
World coffee prices increased slightly on Friday but were still below Thursday's 3.5-month high. Coffee prices have risen sharply over the past four weeks due to concerns about scarce supply and weather conditions in Brazil.
The amount of robusta coffee in stock on the ICE floor fell to a 1-month low of 6,552 bags on Thursday. The amount of arabica coffee in stock tracked by ICE also fell to a 1.25-year low of 710.196 bags on Friday. Meanwhile, Somar Meteorologia reported on Monday that Minas Gerais, Brazil's largest arabica coffee growing region, had no rain in the week ended on August 23. Reports of damage to some Brazilian coffee trees due to last week's price frost are also pushing prices up.
