According to PV on September 1, at the construction area of the P38 main pillar, the Tu Lien bridge project in Bo De ward (Hanoi city) constructed by Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, many workers and vehicles and machinery are still working non-stop.
The contractor is constructing the foundation holes of the main tower, drilling and installing iron cages, pouring concrete for stuffing piles according to the technical design. This is one of the main pillars of Tu Lien Bridge across the Red River connecting the central area of Hanoi City with Dong Anh Commune, the extended National Highway 5 axis.

Mr. Loi - a machine driver - said that to ensure the project's progress, the teams will still organize construction at the construction site during the 4 days off on September 2.
"Everyone wants to visit home during the holidays, but because of the common progress, we still stay at the construction site. The company also pays great attention to the day off regime for workers, so we work with peace of mind," Mr. Loi shared.
Meanwhile, at the Tu Lien bridge construction site in Hong Ha ward, Dong Anh commune, the working atmosphere is also very urgent. Contractors are all organizing the installation and pouring of concrete piles to fill the pillar foundation to move towards the construction of the tower pillars next year.
According to the plan, all bored piles will be completed by the end of 2025. In 2026, focus on the construction of the main tower and in early 2027, carry out the steel beam casting.

Recently, the weather has fluctuated a lot, the rising water of the Hong River has somewhat affected the construction. Meanwhile, most construction areas have to transport materials and equipment by river due to limited access.
To implement this billion-dollar bridge project, 701 households in Hanoi have land and works affected. Of which, 412 cases are residential land, 280 cases are agricultural land and public land, about 257 households must be completely resettled.

The investment project to build Tu Lien Bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge is one of the key traffic projects of Hanoi, however, site clearance is still slow. In Dong Anh commune, the construction site has been basically handed over. While the site clearance in Tay Ho and Hong Ha wards has not met the requirements.
The Tu Lien Bridge project across the Red River started construction on May 19 with a total length of 5.15km of bridge and approach road. The total investment is nearly 20,000 billion VND. The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is the investor.
The bridge section has a cable-stayed structure 43 m wide, a 500 m main span steel girder, and a 185 m high tower. The approach road is 48 m to 60 m wide with technical infrastructure works.
Currently, Hanoi has 9 bridges across the Red River (Thang Long, Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy, Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Thinh, Long Bien, Van Lang, Trung Ha).
According to the plan until 2030, with a vision to 2050, Hanoi will have 9 more bridges across the river, namely Tu Lien, Tran Hung Dao, Van Phuc, Hong Ha, Me So bridges (ring 4), Thang Long New (ring 3), Thuong Cat, Ngoc Hoi (ring 3.5), Phu Xuyen.
