Recording gas prices of Petrolimex Gas Joint Stock Corporation today, June 2, shows that the retail price level has shown clear differentiation between regions. While consumers in the North and Central regions enjoy a significant reduction, the Southern market recorded a stable and slight increase trend in some localities:
In the Northern region, Petrolimex gas prices in Hanoi are currently listed at 578,664 VND for 12kg household cylinders and 2,314,656 VND for 48kg industrial cylinders. Compared to the previous period, this price decreased by 19,440 VND and 77,760 VND each cylinder, respectively.
Following the same trend, the Hai Phong market also recorded a significant decrease. The price of 12kg gas cylinders is currently at 578,664 VND, down 17,496 VND, while 48kg cylinders are sold at 2,350,944 VND, down 77,760 VND compared to before.
In the Central region, Petrolimex gas prices in Da Nang continue to adjust downwards. Currently, 12kg gas cylinders are listed at 567,000 VND, down 20,000 VND per cylinder. For 48kg industrial cylinders, the selling price decreased by 80,000 VND, down to 2,183,000 VND.
Contrary to the downward trend in the North and Central regions, the Southern market recorded stable or slightly increased prices. In Ho Chi Minh City, Petrolimex gas prices are currently maintained at 592,000 VND for 12kg cylinders and 2,364,000 VND for 48kg cylinders.
Notably, in Can Tho, the price of 12kg gas cylinders increased by 5,000 VND to 555,000 VND, while 48kg cylinders increased by 20,000 VND to 2,220,000 VND.
According to records, Petrolimex gas prices currently have a fairly large difference between regions. While the North and Central regions enjoy a reduction of more than 17,000 VND to 20,000 VND for 12kg cylinders and from nearly 78,000 VND to 80,000 VND for 48kg cylinders, the Southern region still maintains a higher price level and records a slight upward trend in some localities.
