Pepper prices today 11/9: Domestic and international pepper markets unchanged for the 3rd consecutive day.

Domestic pepper prices

As of 11:00 AM today (September 11), domestic pepper prices remain stable, averaging 138,500 VND/kg. Currently, the listed price range is in the range of 137,000 - 141,000 VND/kg.

At the end of the recent trading session, Gia Lai and Dong Nai both anchored at the threshold of 137,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City put it on the market at a price of 137,500 VND/kg.

Dak Lak announces a price of 140,000 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong, pepper prices are currently at the highest level in the whole region at 141,000 VND/kg.

Compared to the same period in August, the average domestic pepper price is 1,500 VND/kg higher, exceeding 138,000 VND/kg.

World pepper price

In the world market, pepper prices continue to stabilize in all countries. Indonesia's black and white peppers are no exception, trading in the range of 6,936 - 9,496 USD/ton (equivalent to 181,516 VND/kg - 248,511 VND/kg).

In the same direction, the price of Brazilian black pepper sold to the market is 5,750 USD/ton (about 150,478 VND/kg). Black and white Malaysian peppers still maintain the same price range, trading at high prices, respectively 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton.

Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, black pepper prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l are traded at 5,990 - 6,050 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 8,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 219,828 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts

According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), Vietnam's pepper trade activity in August 2026 slowed down compared to the previous month. In which, exports in August reached 21,724 tons with a turnover of 140.9 million USD, down 4.5% in volume and 4.3% in value compared to July 2026. However, compared to the same period in August 2025, export volume still maintained a slight increase of 1.2%.

In the opposite direction, Vietnam imported 2,883 tons of pepper in August 2026 (including 2,636 tons of black pepper and 247 tons of white pepper), reaching a turnover of 18 million USD. Compared to July 2026, down 14.1% in volume and down 10.2% in value.

In general, accumulated in the first 8 months of 2026, Vietnam's pepper export turnover officially reached the milestone of 1.2 billion USD with a total volume of 190,153 tons. Compared to the same period in 2025, exports increased by 14.2% in volume (equivalent to an increase of 23,643 tons) and increased by 8.9% in value. In terms of unit prices, the average export price of black pepper reached 6,372 USD/ton (down 4.4% compared to the same period) and white pepper reached 8,386 USD/ton (down 4%).

Total pepper imports in the first 8 months of 2026 reached 47,002 tons, equivalent to a turnover of 270.3 million USD. This figure recorded an increase of 36.1% in volume (equivalent to 12,478 tons) and an increase of 19.8% in value compared to the same period in 2025.
