Domestic pepper prices: Unstable at the end of the week
As of 11:30 today (September 13), the domestic pepper market is stable in all regions, averaging 149,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 148,000 - 151,000 VND/kg.
Compared to yesterday's trading price, the regions are unchanged, currently listing prices as follows:
Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak and Lam Dong are trading between 150,000 VND/kg and 151,000 VND/kg.
The same mark of 148,000 VND/kg was set by Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces. This is also the lowest price in the country at the end of the week.
World pepper prices: Developments in the same direction
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - maintained a decrease of 0.07%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,074 - 10,024 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,292 VND/kg - 265,396 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, currently trading at 6,500 USD/ton (about 172,094 VND/kg). Similarly, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l maintains a sideways trend, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,903 VND/kg).
