Assessments and forecasts
Pepper prices today in key growing areas in the country extend the series of sideways days. Domestic and world markets are quiet, however, the signal of accelerating purchasing from US businesses for Vietnamese pepper is returning, contributing to boosting confidence in price movements in the coming time.
According to the International Pepper Association (ITC), in April 2026, the US imported 9,120 tons of pepper, with a turnover of 68.7 million USD, an increase of 11.9% in volume and 11.7% in value compared to March 2026 and a sharp increase of 37.7% in volume compared to the same period in April 2025. This is the month with the highest import volume since the beginning of 2026, reflecting the consumption demand and inventory replenishment of US importers is recovering positively.
