Assessment and forecast
The pepper market is under pressure due to declining supply in many large producing countries, in which Vietnam still plays an important role in the supply chain. Unfavorable weather and the shrinking pepper growing area during the previous low price period are directly affecting current productivity and output.
Vietnam's pepper output is currently estimated at 190,000 tons, bringing the total global output to 520,000 tons, lower than the stable consumption demand of the world market and continuing to create a supporting foundation for pepper prices in the medium and long term.
