Perspectives and forecasts
According to preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association (VPSA), in the first 15 days of January 2026, Vietnam exported 9,050 tons of pepper, with a turnover of 57.9 million USD. In which, black pepper reached 7,228 tons and white pepper reached 1,822 tons, showing that the export structure is still mainly focused on black pepper, a product line with a large consumption market and stable demand.
Compared to the same period in December 2025, pepper export volume decreased by 3.7% and turnover decreased by 6.3%. This decrease is mainly due to timing, and some businesses tend to adjust delivery progress to further monitor price movements.
