Perspectives and forecasts
The developments at the beginning of the new week show that the domestic market is entering a phase of gradual stabilization after previous adjustments. However, the amount of goods sold to the market is still limited as pepper growers continue to keep goods waiting for better prices in the context that global supply prospects are not clear.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) quoted data from the International Trade Center (ITC), in the first 11 months of 2025, Thailand imported about 8.23 thousand tons of pepper, worth 65.8 million USD, a sharp increase in both volume and turnover compared to the same period last year.
In which, Vietnam maintains its position as the largest supplier to Thailand, accounting for 85.8% of total imports and nearly 85% of total value. Not only maintaining an overwhelming market share, Vietnamese pepper also recorded the strongest growth rate, with exports to Thailand increasing by more than 32% and value increasing by over 60% compared to the same period.
