Domestic pepper prices: Continue to increase
As of 1:30 p.m. today (8.26), the domestic pepper market increased slightly by VND100/kg, averaging VND146,800/kg. Currently, the price still fluctuates between 146,000 - 148,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai province increased by 500 VND/kg, bringing the price to the same level as the purchases of Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City, both listed at 146,000 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong remain unchanged, holding the highest level at 148,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Indonesia reverses to increase
In the world market, pepper prices have not fluctuated much in the trading session. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - reversed the increase. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,307 - 10,155 USD/ton (equivalent to 193,709 VND/kg - 263,900 VND/kg), up 2.44% and 1.86%, respectively.
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, trading at $6,000/ton (about 159,060 VND/kg). Malaysia's black and white rice remained in the high price zone, reaching 12,800 USD/ton and 9,600 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remained at 8,950 USD/ton (equivalent to 237,265 VND/kg).
