Domestic pepper prices: Extending the increase
As of 11:30 today (8.25), the domestic pepper market has increased in price by VND 2,000/kg, an average of VND 146,700/kg. Currently, the price still fluctuates between 145,500 - 148,000 VND/kg.
Purchasing pepper at the lowest price is Gia Lai, reaching 145,500 VND/kg, although an increase of 2,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City are listed at 146,000 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces continued to increase by VND 2,000/kg, maintaining the highest level at VND 148,000/kg.
World pepper prices: Maintain the decrease
In the world market, pepper prices have not fluctuated much in the trading session. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - still maintained a price decrease of 0.35%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,129 - 9,966 USD/ton (equivalent to 188,762 VND/kg - 263,900 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, trading at $6,000/ton (about 158,880 VND/kg). Malaysia's black and white rice maintained the high price zone after a strong increase, reaching 12,800 USD/ton and 9,600 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remained at 8,950 USD/ton (equivalent to 236,996 VND/kg).
