Assessments and forecasts
According to statistics from the Vietnam Customs Department, our country's pepper export activities still achieved positive results. In the first 15 days of August 2026 alone, Vietnam successfully exported 10,553 tons of pepper, bringing in a turnover of 68.64 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2025, export volume in this period increased by 5.9%, while value increased by 3.6%.
Accumulated from the beginning of the year to mid-August 2026, the total volume of pepper exports of the whole country reached 179,344 tons, earning a turnover of up to 1.17 billion USD.
Notably, compared to the same period last year, export output increased sharply by 16%. However, the growth rate of export value only reached 10.6%, lower than the growth rate of quantity.
However, Vietnam's average pepper export price in the period decreased by 4.7%, to about 6,518 USD/ton. Therefore, export enterprises still face pressure to reduce the average selling price in the context of increased export output.
