Perspectives and forecasts
The domestic pepper market entered the last trading session of 2025 with mixed and mixed developments.
After a series of strong fluctuations, the current price accurately reflects the actual supply and demand in the year-end period, when liquidity pressure and the need for book closing of export businesses dominate the market.
Looking back at 2025, Vietnam's pepper industry has experienced many ups and downs. From low prices at the beginning of the season, the market has had hot growth waves thanks to concerns about global supply shortages due to the El Nino phenomenon. Although not achieving record prices as some overly optimistic forecasts, the current price range of 150,000 VND/kg still ensures good profits for farmers to reinvest.
