The State Treasury cuts down on 4.4%, operating a stable two-level model
Implementing the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus, the State Treasury system (KBNN) has completed the reorganization according to the two-level model from March 15, 2025. The total number of units decreased from 1,047 to 582, equivalent to a decrease of 44%. The rearrangement is associated with the issuance of regulations on functions and tasks, data transfer, technical infrastructure consolidation and completion of business processes according to the new model.

From the time of conversion, the entire system has been operating stably, without interrupting transactions with budget-using units. The regional KBNN continues to ensure good coordination with local financial agencies in the operation and service of transactions through the application of information technology. See more...

Yen has a surprising trend
According to Lao Dong, on June 17, the Japanese Yen (JPY) maintained a stable trend after the Bank of Japan (BoJ) decided to keep the short-term interest rate unchanged at 0.5%, as expected by the market.
Although the JPY has somewhat recovered after a two-day downward trend, the rally has been held back by cautious sentiment and trade and geopolitical uncertainties.

The BoJ said it will continue to implement the criticalized monetary tightening (QT) policy. The plan to reduce purchases of Japanese government bonds (JGB) will be implemented gradually from now until the end of fiscal year 2026, with the goal of reducing purchases to about 2,000 billion yen per quarter by early 2027. However, the central bank did not give a clear signal about the next interest rate hike roadmap, causing the market to lack momentum to break out. See more...
