detecting a large number of SKF trademark counterfeit rings
According to information from the Hanoi Market Management Department (QLTT), during a recent surprise inspection, the functional forces of the Hanoi Market Management Department discovered a large number of ball bearings with signs of SKF trademark counterfeiting.
Accordingly, implement the direction and orientation of the Hanoi People's Committee, the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the leaders of the Hanoi Market Management Department; implement the plan No. 15/KH-QLTT dated November 26, 2025 of the Hanoi Market Management Department on the peak period of market inspection and control to handle violations in the last months of 2025, the occasion of the New Year 2026, and the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo in Hanoi.
Market Management Team No. 1 has directed civil servants to implement professional measures to focus on grasping information, checking and handling acts of producing, trading, trading counterfeit goods, violating intellectual property on e-commerce platforms and coordinating with industrial property rights entities to identify signs of counterfeit goods in cyberspace as well as real-life products at the facility.
On November 27, 2025, Market Management Team No. 1 - Hanoi Market Management Department verified information and inspected Minh Ngoc Vietnam Trading Company Limited, located at 751 Nguyen Duc Thuan, Gia Lam commune.
The authorities determined that, in order to avoid inspection activities by authorities, Minh Ngoc Vietnam Trading Company Limited registered its head office at one address but in fact operated a business of goods at another address without notifying the Business Registration Agency according to regulations.
At the time of inspection, Mr. N.T.T - Company Director (the legal representative of the Company) admitted to using a Facebook social networking site named "MinhNgocVongBi" to provide information and images of SKF brand ball ring products.
The entire image of SKF ball ring products provided on the above social networking site was taken by Mr. T to take photos of SKF ball ring products at the company. After that, Mr. T posted information about these products on Facebook to introduce to customers to serve his business activities.


After conducting the inspection and verification work, seeing that there was sufficient basis for a surprise inspection, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with T&G Law Firm - the legal representative unit for the SKF brand to conduct an inspection of a business establishment of Minh Ngoc Vietnam Trading Company Limited.
Through an actual inspection of goods at the business location of Minh Ngoc Vietnam Trading Company Limited, the authorities discovered a total of 29,886 ball bearings with signs of counterfeiting the SKF trademark (a trademark protected in Vietnam).
Timely prevention of large quantities of counterfeit products, consumer protection
Among the ball ring products with signs of SKF trademark counterfeiting discovered at the above facility, the authorities determined that there were 62 ball rings with a diameter of 46cm and weight of 120kg.
These large ball bearings are often used for machinery in heavy industrial factories (steel, cement, etc.) or large-scale food factories.
Therefore, checking and preventing these products before being sold on the market is important, not only preventing counterfeit and poor quality goods to protect consumer rights but also contributing to ensuring technical safety for industrial equipment and protecting the safety of users, minimizing large-scale damage to the economy.


"During the operation process of using large, counterfeit, poor quality specialized ball bearings, the entire production line of machinery will have to be stopped or even the entire factory will have to be replaced. It can even cause danger during the operation of machinery," said a representative of Market Management Team No. 1.
Mr. N.T.T - representative of the enterprise presented all the goods with signs of counterfeiting the SKF brand that the Company had bought floating in the domestic market. The goods did not have any relevant invoices or documents.
Mr. Market Management Team No. 1 has temporarily detained all goods with signs of counterfeiting the SKF trademark to continue verifying and clarifying related details to determine the administrative violation of Minh Ngoc Vietnam Trading Company Limited according to regulations.
