On February 17, Mr. Chau Viet Tha - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City - said that based on the Central Government's policy on the arrangement of organizations and apparatus, and on the basis of Decree 178 of the Government, the Department of Home Affairs has deployed and guided local agencies and units to carry out the steps of the process of considering applications for people who voluntarily retire early and voluntarily resign during the process of arranging the apparatus.

As of today (February 17), 269 cases of voluntary leave applications have been approved by the leaders of agencies and units and transferred to the Department of Home Affairs. Of the total 269 people applying for retirement, there are 12 unit leaders, 59 department-level leaders, 8 Board of Directors, 3 leaders of District-level Associations and Youth Union, 163 specialists and 24 labor contracts.
The total number of Department-level blocks is 115 people. Of which, the Department's leaders have 8 people (2 heads, 6 deputy heads); the Department's leaders have 34 people; 59 specialists; 14 labor contracts.
For districts, there are a total of 34 people applying for retirement. Of which, 21 department-level professional leaders; 10 specialists; 3 contract workers; no district or county leaders have resigned.
The Department's public service unit has 65 people applying for retirement. Of which, there are 3 leaders of public service units, 4 leaders of department-level public service units, 54 specialists and 4 contract workers.

According to the leader of the Department of Home Affairs, the new Department will receive, then separate people under the management of the City Party Committee, People's Committee, and under the management of departments, branches, and districts. After appraisal, the Department of Home Affairs will transfer the submitting agencies according to its authority.
Currently, in addition to the outstanding policy of Decree 178, the City People's Committee organizes a consultation with members of the People's Committee to request opinions on the policy of issuing support policies for those affected in the restructuring of the apparatus. Currently, it has been approved by the People's Committee and is seeking the People's Council's opinion. After the People's Council agrees, the City People's Committee will continue to develop a paperwork to submit to the competent authority for comments and submission to the People's Council for promulgation.
According to Mr. Chau Viet Tha, the Department of Home Affairs will closely monitor the implementation process to avoid errors in beneficiaries, in the spirit that the support level must be similar or higher to the previously issued policy on merging wards in the area.
