On February 26, the Government Office held a conference to deploy tasks in 2025. Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended and gave a speech at the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that the Government Office has 5 main and core functions.
The first function is to advise the Government and the Prime Minister, "top-level advice", associated with the highest leadership of the Government.
The second function is to receive, process and communicate information. The Government Office is the agency that directly handles the initial processing, analyzes, evaluates and proposes the content of information processing from ministries, branches, localities, people and enterprises to report to the Government and the Prime Minister, and at the same time conveys the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister to agencies, people and enterprises.
The third function is to coordinate the work above-ground, vertical and vertical between the Central Government and localities, the Government with ministries, branches, the Government with the National Assembly and Party agencies.
The fourth function is to inspect, supervise, monitor, and urge work programs, major activities, and key tasks.

Referring to the tasks and solutions for the coming time, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that each Government Office officer needs to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, dedication, and diligence in work.
"Cadres must be enthusiastic about their work, and the results will be the same as how we invest. If the investment is superficial, the results will be superficial and if the investment is serious, meticulous, and professional, the results will be professional, meticulous" - the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister pointed out.
Documents and drafts that need to be consulted must also improve the process, must be organized scientifically, ensure effectiveness, avoid formality, avoid doing many rounds, cumbersome but ineffective, or even ineffective.
At the conference, 6 officials and civil servants of the Government Electronic Information Portal were awarded 1 First Class Labor Medal, 1 Second Class Labor Medal, 1 Third Class Labor Medal, and 3 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Accordingly, Mr. Le Viet Dong - Deputy General Director of the Government Electronic Information Portal - was awarded the First Class Labor Medal.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Luan - Director of the Data Center, Government Electronic Information Portal - was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal.
