The Government has just issued Decree No. 36/2025/ND-CP dated February 25, 2025, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Office.
According to Decree 36/2025/ND-CP, the organizational structure of the Government Office includes the following 18 units:
1. General Department.
2. Department of Law.
3. General Economic Department.
4. Department of Industry.
5. Department of Agriculture.
6. Department of Doctrine and Literature.
7. Enterprise Innovation Department.
8. Department of International Relations.
9. Department of Home Affairs.
10. Department of Organization and Public Service.
11. Department of Inspection Monitoring (Department I).
12. The Department of National Assembly, Local Government and Mass Organizations.
13. Department of Secretary - Editor.
14. Department of Administration.
15. Department of Organization and Personnel.
16. Department of Administrative Procedure Control.
17. Department of Management - Finance.
18. Government Electronic Information Portal.
Units under the organizational structure of the Government Office are administrative organizations whose functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure are prescribed by the Minister and Head of the Government Office. The Government Electronic Information Portal uses the National emblem seal. Department I has 3 departments; Department of Administration has 4 departments.
The Minister and Head of the Government Office shall submit to the Prime Minister for promulgation a list of public service units under the Government Office.
Previously, Decree 79/2022/ND-CP stipulated that the organizational structure of the Government Office had 20 units.
Decree 36/2025/ND-CP has reduced 2 units, no longer the Department of Financial Planning, Department of Administration - Management II. The Department of State Administrative Organization and Public Service was renamed the Department of Public Service Organization.
Mr. Tran Van Son - Member of the Party Central Committee - currently holds the position of Minister, Head of the Government Office.
Subjects transition, the Department of State Administrative Organization and Public Service; Department of Monitoring Inspection Work; Resolution of Complaints and denunciations; Prevention and control of corruption, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; Department of Management; Department of Administration - Administration II; Department of Financial Planning continues to operate according to current regulations until the Minister and Head of the Government Office issues a Decision stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the units: Department of Organization of Public Service, Department I and Department of Management - Finance.
The Government Electronic Information Portal continues to perform the assigned functions, tasks, and powers according to current regulations until the Decision regulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the unit issued by the Minister and Head of the Government Office takes effect.
This Decree takes effect from March 1, 2025.
This Decree replaces Decree No. 79/2022/ND-CP dated October 6, 2022 of the Government regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Office.
