On April 22, at the 1st Army Officer School, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Defense - assigned tasks and encouraged the People's Army forces (People's Army) of Vietnam to participate in the 80th anniversary of the victory day in the great national defense war in the Russian Federation.
Speaking at the assignment, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that Russia's official invitation to Vietnam to send troops to parade in Red Square is an activity of special political and diplomatic significance, not only demonstrating respect and appreciation for Vietnam's role, but also a vivid demonstration of the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the field of defense and military engineering cooperation.

According to the Deputy Minister of Defense, the presence of the Vietnamese army at the parade on the Red Square is also an opportunity to enhance the image, position and bravery of the Vietnam People's Army - a revolutionary, regular, elite, step by step, ready to contribute to the common efforts of the international community for peace and sustainable development.
Senior General Hoang Xuan Chien requested the participating forces to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", absolutely comply with discipline, proactively overcome difficulties, uphold determination, solidarity, complete assigned tasks well, ensure absolute safety in all aspects, thereby contributing to spreading the good image of Vietnamese soldiers in the eyes of international friends.
Implementing the Ministry of National Defense's Directive, 68 soldiers of the 1st Army Officer School will represent the Vietnam People's Army to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great National Defense War at Red Square, Moscow (May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025).
It is expected that on April 23, this military bloc will leave for Russia. The bloc consists of 73 soldiers (68 active members and 5 reserve members). The delegation has leaders in charge, instructors, doctors, interpreters and security guards.
The soldiers participating in the parade are aged 19-30, 1m80 or older. These are cadres, lecturers, and students who can balance their figure and perform fast, strong, and precise pose movements.
According to Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Principal of Army Officer School 1, for many days now, the school has organized forces and actively trained and practiced for participating forces, in order to improve the qualifications, team coordination movements, and coordination skills of the forces participating in the parade.
Thereby, it demonstrates the regularity, unity and power of the Vietnam People's Army as well as the desire to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing relationship with international friends.
According to the plan, the school has organized training for the forces participating in the parade on the contents of the regulation of individual and collective teams, ensuring correctness, fairness, beauty, unity, regularity, and power.
