On the morning of September 15, at the Conference of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
The Politburo appointed Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
The decision was announced by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City at the conference.
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee currently includes Secretary Tran Luu Quang and 5 Deputy Secretaries: Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Mr. Dang Minh Thong and Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet.
Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet was born in 1976, from Ho Chi Minh City. She has a Master's degree in Economics - Politics, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Administration of Education.
Currently, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet is a member of the 15th National Assembly, and also holds the position of President of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City.
During her working career, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet has held many positions at Hoc Mon District Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, and Hoc Mon District People's Committee.
From 2014 to 2016, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet held the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, and was also a National Assembly Delegate of the 14th tenure.
Since 2016, she has held the role of Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation.
In March 2024, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet was transferred and assigned to hold the position of Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee.
