On June 20, in Dong Hoi City, the Military Command (CHQS) of the new Quang Tri province held a conference to hand over the duties and responsibilities of the Commander and Political Commissar.
The conference was chaired by Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai - Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hai Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Binh Province. Also attending were leaders of departments, branches, sectors and heads of Military Region agencies.
According to the decision of the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command was appointed to hold the position of Commander of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command (new). Colonel Le Hong Viet - Deputy Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Military Command was assigned to be in charge of the Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command (new).
At the conference, Colonels Nguyen Tai Tinh and Truong Nhu Y - in charge of the former Commander and Political Commissar handed over the responsibilities to Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa and Colonel Le Hong Viet.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh and leaders of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces highly appreciated the qualities, bravery and leadership capacity of the comrades assigned to the new assignments.
The comrades chairing the conference suggested that the officers chairing the new Quang Tri Provincial Military Command need to urgently approach the work, grasp the functions and tasks, and coordinate the effective implementation of local military and defense work.
In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on implementing urgent tasks such as organizing the dissolution of the District Military Command, establishing a regional defense cluster, preparing for Party congresses at all levels and the Provincial Military Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, grasping the local and religious situation, maintaining political security and social order and safety during the administrative merger period.
