Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc was transferred, assigned, and appointed as Head of the Central Organization Committee.

On April 8, a Conference was held in Hanoi to announce the Politburo's Decision on personnel work. Accordingly, the Politburo transferred, assigned, and appointed Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee as Head of the Central Organization Committee.

General Secretary and President To Lam attended and presented decisions and flowers to congratulate Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc was born on August 27, 1964. Hometown: Luong Bang commune, Hung Yen province. Political theory level: Advanced. Professional level: Master of Law; University majoring in Administrative Management Law.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc is a member of the Politburo of the XIII term (from January 2025), XIV term; Secretary of the Party Central Committee of the XIII term (from August 2024 - November 2025); National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term.

During his work process, the new Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc has held many different positions and positions.

From 2009-2011: Head of Thanh Tri District Police, Head of Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC27), Hanoi City Police.

From 2012: Colonel, Chief of Office of the Investigation Police Agency (PC44), Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police.

March 2013: Colonel, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police.

January 2014: Colonel, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police.

November 2016: Colonel, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Police, concurrently Director of the Department of Police for Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling, Ministry of Public Security, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

Year 2017: Promoted to the rank of Major General.

August 2018: Director of the Department of Police Investigation of Corruption, Economic, and Smuggling Crimes, Ministry of Public Security, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

August 15, 2019: Major General, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, concurrently Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee.

From January 2021 - 2022: Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, Standing Deputy Head of the Working Group to implement Project 06 of the Government.

From December 2023 - June 2024: Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security, Standing Deputy Head of the Working Group to implement Project 06 of the Government.

From August 16, 2024 - January 1, 2025: Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (from January 2025).

From January 23, 2025 - February 2025: Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation.

From February 2025 - November 2025: Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (to November 2025), Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee (to November 2025); Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (to May 2025); Member of the National Election Council (from June 2025).

November 4, 2025: The Politburo transfers, assigns, and appoints to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

January 22, 2026: At the 14th National Party Congress, elected as a member of the 14th Party Central Committee.
