The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to hand over the decision to the cadres. At the ceremony, the leaders of the City Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the resolution approving the election results of the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for the 2021 - 2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Thus, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council currently has 5 members, including Chairman Vo Van Minh and 4 Vice Chairmen: Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan and Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong.
At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the decision to approve the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term for 3 personnel: Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance; Mr. Tran Van Bay - Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has 10 members, including Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc and 9 Vice Chairmen: Nguyen Loc Ha, Nguyen Van Dung, Bui Xuan Cuong, Bui Minh Thanh, Nguyen Manh Cuong, Tran Van Bay, Nguyen Cong Vinh, Hoang Nguyen Dinh and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated and had great expectations for the personnel who had just received their assignments.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City is entering a new stage of development with many important requirements and tasks, requiring consensus and strong efforts from the leadership team.
According to the Secretary of the City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City is focusing on two key groups of tasks: Organizing the implementation of the resolutions of the Central and the city; building strong enough mechanisms and institutions to effectively exploit the potential and advantages of a special city.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang noted the need to strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly learn from experience, identify shortcomings and find solutions to overcome them. In response to the new requirement, the leadership team must be " stronger, more elite, more courageous and more determined" in performing work.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that adding and strengthening leadership personnel of the People's Committee and People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City is a necessary step to ensure an effective operating apparatus, meeting the development requirements of the city in the coming time.
