On December 15, information from the Ministry of Justice said that the Council for reviewing outstanding events of the industry has reported to the Minister for comments on the draft of 15 outstanding events in 2025.
Including the event of the Politburo issuing Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW dated April 30, 2025 on innovation in law making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era. The event was affirmed as a call for a profound institutional reform.
Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW has the impact of fundamentally innovating the work of law making and enforcement, creating momentum for socio-economic development, towards the goal of Vietnam becoming a developed country with high income by 2045.
The Resolution proposes breakthroughs in innovation in thinking, strengthening the leadership of the Party, controlling power, perfecting a democratic and fair legal system and strongly applying digital technology.
In 2025, the Ministry of Justice will also perform well its role as the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee for perfecting institutions and laws and the Government Steering Committee for reviewing and organizing the implementation of handling problems in the legal system.
In addition, the Ministry of Justice also presides over helping the Government synthesize opinions on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution and advising on perfecting the legal basis for organizing the arrangement of the apparatus and local governments at two levels.
The amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution is an important political and legal event of the country in 2025. The Ministry and the Judicial sector have proactively and actively participated and made important contributions to the completion of this important task of the country.
More than 280 million comments from the People, all levels and sectors have been fully and accurately compiled by the Ministry of Justice, reported to the Government to send to the Committee for the draft amendments and supplements to the 2013 Constitution for study, acceptance and revision of the draft Resolution before submitting it to the National Assembly for approval.
