Discussing at the seminar, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen emphasized that regarding the implementation of building houses to donate to people in key areas, later in all areas according to the emulation movement that the Prime Minister called for, the People's Public Security force has organized and implemented since 2017-2019 under the direction of the Minister of Public Security.
Accordingly, through a very careful assessment in the localities, especially the "teeth and crook" area, which is a key area for drug crimes and is an area with free migration, the key areas are Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La provinces.
With the area of "teasing" drug criminals smuggled across the border, as well as the area of "newspapers" interspersed between settled people and free- movement people. Despite being cared for and organized for production and business methods, people still have many difficulties, especially in terms of housing, including households without houses, having to build shelters, camps and live in the fields.
Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen reiterated that from 2017 to 2019, the People's Public Security Forces have built hundreds of thousands of houses for people in the crooked areas in particular and in the border areas in general, especially in the areas of Lai Chau, Son La, and Dien Bien provinces. Thereby, creating a stable life and changing the old lifestyle and habits of the people.
Continuing to respond to the emulation movement launched by the Prime Minister, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen said that up to now, the Ministry of Public Security has completed 29,100 houses to donate to households and people across the country, with funding from benefactors, financial groups, economic groups, and officers and soldiers of the entire force contributing salary days.
Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen affirmed: "If we evaluate which provincial police or which city police do well, perhaps we will not have a comparison, because the national police force will participate. Those with merits contribute, those with assets contribute, those with strength contribute.
We are imbued with this idea of the Prime Minister, so the national public security force, from the ward police in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City Police, to the commune police in Nghe An, Dien Bien, Lai Chau... are all active factors in leading and maintaining the emulation movement to build houses for compatriots, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".
