Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung sent his gratitude and expressed respect for the effective coordination of press and media agencies in the past year.

On December 31, in Hanoi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung chaired a cordial meeting with Vietnamese press agencies on the occasion of the end of 2025 and preparing to welcome the 2026 Binh Ngo Spring.

In the joyful atmosphere towards the 14th National Party Congress and welcoming the new year, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the special significance of the current time, when the country is facing the opportunity to break through in the new era of development.

In that context, Vietnam's foreign affairs work continues to achieve important achievements, making an important contribution to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, effectively serving development goals and constantly enhancing the country's international position and prestige.

Regarding the orientation for the coming time, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the "pioneering", "core" role of the diplomatic sector in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and contributing to creating a comprehensive strength for the country to enter a new era of development.

In particular, with foreign affairs and international integration being identified for the first time as "core and regular tasks" along with national defense and security in the Party's strategic documents, the Minister affirmed that this task also poses an urgent requirement for the deployment of comprehensive foreign affairs work at a new high level in the next period.

Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the effective support and coordination of press and media agencies in the past year.

The Minister affirmed that in the overall achievements of the country, there is an important role and contribution of the press and agencies working in information and foreign affairs propaganda.

The Minister especially highly appreciated the team of journalists and foreign information who have been proactive in conveying the message, policies, and foreign policy of the Party and State; sensitive in providing, summarizing, and analyzing new information and developments of the international situation and effectively fighting against false arguments.

The Minister wished that press agencies and departments, ministries, and branches would continue to accompany the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in innovating and improving the effectiveness of foreign information, well meeting the tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the event, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh affirmed that the coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and press agencies has become a "standard" of closeness, breadth and effectiveness.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized that the press force doing foreign information work is increasingly strong and professional and affirmed that press agencies will continue to accompany and stand side by side with the diplomatic sector, constantly innovating information methods to better complete the tasks and requirements set for foreign information work in the new period.

On this occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung awarded Certificates of Merit and Medals to 37 collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work, contributing to the overall success of the foreign affairs front in the past year.
