The Ministry of Home Affairs has just issued an Official Dispatch to industry associations, business associations with nationwide or inter-provincial scope of operation; social funds, charities with nationwide or inter-provincial scope of operation on the implementation of Conclusion No. 207 of the Secretariat.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests associations, unions, and funds to propagate and thoroughly grasp to all individual members, organizational members (especially businesses, production and business establishments), organizations under associations, unions, and employees at industry associations and business associations to grasp and strictly implement the Party and State's directives on protecting consumer rights;
Promote the role of supervising and providing information on the quality of products, goods, services, production and trading of counterfeit goods, fake goods, and prohibited goods of socio-professional organizations and people; build a support mechanism, receive and resolve disputes between consumers and business organizations and individuals in a quick and convenient manner.
The Ministry of Home Affairs requests associations, unions, and funds to strengthen digital transformation, apply science, technology, artificial intelligence, and big data in protecting consumer rights; build a culture of law compliance, putting consumers at the center of members' production and business activities;
Encouraging business members to research, apply, develop science, technology and innovation towards green production and consumption, in customer care activities; trace the origin of products and goods; and transparentize the market for goods and services in the digital age.
The Ministry also requested to raise awareness and responsibility of associations and members in supervising and protecting consumer rights; implementing Directive No. 28 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the implementation of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in a practical and effective new situation;
Propagating members to implement regulations on standards and regulations on the quality of goods and services, fighting against acts of producing and trading in counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality products and services, infringing intellectual property rights, creating a level playing field, promoting investment in innovation, improving the quality of goods and services and the competitiveness of members and the economy;
Encourage members to apply the highest standards and regulations of Vietnam and international standards in production and business, ensuring that goods and services reach consumers with the best quality.
Continue to participate in protecting consumer rights, proactively and actively propagate, mobilize, and provide information about consumer rights;
Promptly receive and provide information about safe and quality products and services, violating and unsafe establishments to members and people; strengthen the role of supervision, social criticism, and participate in opinions on building laws, mechanisms, and policies on protecting consumer rights in the spirit of Directive No. 30 and Conclusion No. 207.
The Ministry of Home Affairs noted that in the process of organization and operation, associations, unions, and funds must comply with the Party's guidelines, the State's laws, and the Association and Fund Charter approved by competent state agencies.
