On March 1, according to the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of National Defense has just responded to voters' recommendations on the issue of housing support for officers and soldiers stationed there.
Accordingly, voters of Khanh Hoa province recommended: "Request the Ministry of National Defense to pay attention to housing for officers and soldiers residing at the military station so that officers and soldiers can work with peace of mind and complete all assigned tasks".
Responding to this content, the Ministry of National Defense said: Pursuant to the Housing Law 2023, the Land Law 2024, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army and legal documents detailing and guiding its implementation, the Ministry of National Defense has assigned the General Department of Logistics - Engineering to synthesize the needs for public housing and social housing for eligible subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense according to each province and centrally-run city; including Khanh Hoa province to ensure housing needs for officers and soldiers.
Based on the social housing needs of units stationed in Khanh Hoa province, the Ministry of National Defense will send a document to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to synthesize in the local housing development plan (expected in the first quarter of 2025).
On the other hand, the Ministry of National Defense is implementing investment and construction of public housing projects for the period 2021 - 2025 and preparing a Plan for the development of public housing for the period 2026 - 2030.
At the same time, strive to meet about 80% of the demand for public housing for eligible subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense by the end of 2030 according to the goal of Resolution No. 1658-NQ/QUTW dated December 20, 2022 of the Central Military Commission on military logistics work until 2030 and the following years.
