The police force completed the arrangement of commune-level police, introduced the force to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, basically meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.
"With the achieved results, the strength of the people's public security force in all aspects has been significantly enhanced, creating a secure, safe and healthy environment, creating the foundation, premise and motivation to continue to successfully carry out the important responsibilities that the Party, State and people trust and entrust in the following years" - Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Public Security will continue to review and adjust the assignment and decentralization, pay attention to training and fostering to build strong commune-level police, capable of firmly grasping the situation and effectively performing the task of ensuring security and order.
At the same time, urgently advise on completing the consolidation of security and order protection teams, ensuring working conditions, building a force participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level to truly be the "ears", "eyes", "extended arms" supporting the commune-level police force in ensuring security and order, building a movement for the entire people to protect national security, contributing to maintaining security and order, effectively serving the task of socio-economic development in the locality.
Speaking more about the work of streamlining the apparatus, General Luong Tam Quang said that after 2 times of implementing the restructuring and reorganization of the apparatus in the direction of being lean, compact, and strong, with many historical and breakthrough changes, fundamentally overcoming the limitations that have lasted for many years, increasing productivity and quality of work exponentially, creating many miracles and achievements, typically completing the construction of the National Population Database in more than a year, while many developed countries have to complete it in many years.
In the coming time, the police force will continue to take the lead in implementing organizational restructuring, striving after the third restructuring to create a truly streamlined, strong, efficient, effective, and efficient apparatus, in accordance with the Party's policies.
"At the same time, continue to do a good job in personnel work, political and ideological work; arrange the right people for the right jobs, implement policies promptly and in accordance with regulations, ensuring that officers and soldiers can work with peace of mind; proactively advise on perfecting the system of legal documents, creating a suitable legal corridor to organize the apparatus to operate effectively, efficiently and effectively right after the restructuring" - Minister Luong Tam Quang said.
Previously, through two times of restructuring the organization, from 2018 to now, the Ministry of Public Security has reduced 6 General Departments, 1 unit equivalent to the General Department level, 55 Department-level units, 7 People's Police schools, 20 provincial-level Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, nearly 1,200 department-level units, and over 3,500 team-level units.
