The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued a document responding to the petition of voters in Hanoi City sent before the 9th Session.
Accordingly, voters suggested that the Government direct ministries/sectors to pay attention to strengthening policies to support young people in their studies, startups to improve their skills and solve employment, etc., creating favorable conditions for the younger generation to promote their pioneering role in building and defending the Fatherland, contributing more to the community and the country in the new era.
Regarding this content, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that in the past, the Ministry has advised the Government to submit to the National Assembly to issue a Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education.
In which it stipulates the content "The State focuses on investing in developing science and technology potential (STI), creating mechanisms and policies to encourage organizations and individuals to participate in investing in developing science and technology potential, developing a creative startup ecosystem in higher education institutions to serve the country's development..."";
In addition, the Ministry also advised the Government to issue a decree regulating science and technology activities in higher education institutions.
At the same time, issue regulations on scientific research for students in higher education institutions; regulations on career counseling, employment and start-up support in educational institutions.
Coordinate with businesses, invite experts to organize training courses, thematic talks, forums to raise awareness, knowledge, and startup skills for students;
Organize the selection of feasible projects and ideas to support incubation at school or connect to startup support centers in the area; establish a database of projects and startup ideas of students.
According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, universities, academies, universities, colleges and secondary schools all have plans to support students to start businesses.
100/250 higher education institutions have centers to support students and parents.
The number of startup projects for middle and high school students reached 8,700 projects, an average of 1,465 startup projects for middle and high school students per year.
The number of startups, startups, and startups created by higher education institutions from 2020 to present is approximately 300 enterprises.
The highest rate of graduates with a start-up period after 05 years is 8%, 4 times higher than the survey period in 2014, which was 2%.
The quality of ideas and startup projects is getting better and better, highly appreciated by businesses.
Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that in the coming time, the Ministry will advise the Government to issue a Decree regulating policies to support extra classes for students majoring in key technology and strategic technology.
The Ministry continues to advise the Prime Minister to approve the Project "Supporting students to start businesses in the 2026 - 2035 period".
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training, together with ministries, branches, localities, and educational institutions, has implemented a number of groups of solutions such as perfecting mechanisms and policies to support start-ups.
Forming a team, organizing training to improve the quality of the team of staff working as consultants, supporting startups in educational institutions.
Diversify capital sources for startup programs and projects; strengthen international cooperation activities, cooperate with businesses and alumni in startup activities.
