On July 30, the People's Council of Vinh Long province held its second session. At the session, the Provincial People's Council informed about the results of monitoring the Provincial People's Committee to resolve voters' opinions and recommendations from after the 9th session to before the 10th session of the 10th Provincial People's Council.
Accordingly, there are a total of 94 groups of opinions and recommendations from voters compiled from 4 meetings with voters in 2024 and early 2025. To date, 100% of the groups of recommendations have been responded to by the Provincial People's Committee, of which 82 groups of opinions (accounting for 87.23%) have been completely resolved; the remaining 12 groups (12.76%) are continuing to be monitored and handled in the coming time.
Voters' recommendations focus on the fields of transportation, irrigation, rural clean water, health, environment and social security. Some notable contents include: In 2024, the province collected more than 23.2 tons of plant protection packaging, built 2,420 tanks. Water supply works nearly 5.8km long to serve 144 households are included in the investment plan for 20262030. The health sector approved the Generic drug package from April 2025 to April 2027.
The 2.4km Mang Thit River embankment is about to be completed, the Tra Mon culvert has reached 95% progress. The Cai Cao River landslide embankment (3.065m) is proposed for investment in the coming period.
In addition to the achieved results, there are still some recommendations that are slow to be resolved due to complicated procedures, lack of capital or problems with regulations from the Central Government. Some departments and branches also responded in general, not knowing the processing time, causing voters to continue to make recommendations many times. The work of propagating the results of the settlement is also not extensive.
The Provincial People's Committee said that it will continue to direct departments, branches and localities to monitor, urge and summarize the results of the resolution, promptly respond to the Provincial People's Council and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to inform voters.
