On the afternoon of February 20, at the People's Committee of Can Tho City, a Conference was held to implement the Resolution of the City People's Council on deciding to establish, reorganize, and maintain specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Can Tho City and announce the Decisions of the Chairman of the City People's Committee on personnel work.
Accordingly, specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Can Tho City will be established, including:
The Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment; Decision on Mr. Le Thanh Tam to hold the position of Director of the Department of Finance.
The Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport; Decision on Mr. Le Tien Dung to hold the position of Director of the Department of Construction.
Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; Decision on Mr. Ngo Anh Tin to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
The Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Decision on Mr. Chau Viet Tha to hold the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Decision on Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh to hold the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, on the basis of the Ethnic Committee, will receive the function of state management of religion from the Department of Home Affairs; Decision on Mr. Le Trung Kien to hold the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
Reorganize and maintain specialized agencies under the City People's Committee, including: Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Education and Training; Department of Justice; Department of Health; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Foreign Affairs; Office of the City People's Committee; Can Tho City Inspectorate.
