On July 15, the 19th Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee held the 23rd Conference (expanded), combining directly and online to 56 commune and ward bridges.
The conference was chaired by comrades Quan Minh Cuong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vu Hong Quang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Le Hai Hoa - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Cao Bang province has achieved some positive results such as GRDP increasing by 6.56%, budget revenue reaching VND 2,394 billion (up 86% over the same period), public investment disbursement reaching 40.7% of the plan.
Agricultural, industrial, trade and service production continues to be stable; import and export reached more than 841 million USD. In particular, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses supported 6,644 households, nearly reaching the annual plan. Health, education, culture, and social security work have received due attention; political security and social order and safety have been maintained.
The work of Party building and administrative apparatus organization has achieved many results, the whole province admitted 628 new party members, completed the merger of 105 administrative units and established 56 new units with a voter consensus rate of over 99.6%. Mobilize and arrange over 1,200 cadres after the merger.
Delegates focused on discussing solutions to remove bottlenecks in socio-economic development, administrative reform, digital transformation at the commune level and improving the quality of the staff.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong requested all levels and sectors to focus on preparing well for the 20th Provincial Party Congress; promoting reform, promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity; effectively implementing socio-economic development tasks.
In particular, priority is given to developing high-value agriculture, exploiting mineral strengths, attracting investment, speeding up the progress of key projects such as the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway, routes connecting to Ta Lung border gate and Cao Bang city (old). Investment project to upgrade and expand Ho Chi Minh road, Pac Bo section - Cao Bang city; Bac Kan - Cao Bang expressway project.
The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized the need to stabilize the organization after the administrative merger, ensure smooth operations, promptly resolve arising issues, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of serving people and businesses.
