Based on Project No. 377/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025 of the Government on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Dong Thap province (new) in 2025, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1663/NQ-UBTVQH15, accordingly, Dong Thap province after the merger will have 102 commune-level administrative units, including 82 communes and 20 wards. Details are as follows:
1. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Sa Rai town, Binh Phu commune (Tan Hong district) and Tan Cong Chi commune into a new commune called Tan Hong commune.
2. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Thong Binh commune and Tan Thanh A commune into a new commune called Tan Thanh commune.
3. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Thanh B commune and Tan Ho Co commune into a new commune called Tan Ho Co commune.
4. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Phuoc commune (Tan Hong district) and An Phuoc commune into a new commune called An Phuoc commune.
5. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Thuong Thoi Tien town, Thuong Phuoc 1 commune and Thuong Phuoc 2 commune into a new commune called Thuong Phuoc commune.
6. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Long Khanh A commune and Long Khanh B commune into a new commune called Long Khanh commune.
7. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Long Thuan commune, Phu Thuan A commune and part of the natural area and population of Phu Thuan B commune into a new commune called Long Phu Thuan commune.
8. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Thanh B commune and An Hoa commune into a new commune called An Hoa commune.
9. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Duc commune and Phu Hiep commune into a new commune called Tam Nong commune.
10. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Thanh A commune and Phu Tho commune into a new commune called Phu Tho commune.
11. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tram Chim town and Tan Cong Tinh commune into a new commune called Tram Chim commune.
12. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Cuong commune (Tam Nong district), Hoa Binh commune and part of the natural area and population of Gao Giong commune into a new commune called Phu Cuong commune.
13. Arrange the entire natural area and population of An Phong, Phu Ninh and An Long communes into a new commune called An Long commune.
14. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan My commune and Tan Phu commune (Thanh Binh district), Thanh Binh town and part of the natural area and population of Tan Thanh commune (Thanh Binh district) into a new commune called Thanh Binh commune.
15. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Loi commune and the remaining part of Tan Thanh commune (Thanh Binh district) after being arranged according to the provisions of Clause 14 of this Article into a new commune called Tan Thanh commune.
16. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Binh Thanh commune (Thanh Binh district) and Binh Tan commune into a new commune called Binh Thanh commune.
17. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Binh and Tan Hoa communes (Thanh Binh district), Tan Quoi, Tan Hue, Tan Long communes and the rest of Phu Thuan B commune after arrangement according to the provisions of Clause 7 of this Article into a new commune named Tan Long commune.
18. Arrange the entire natural area and population of My An town, My An commune and My Hoa commune into a new commune called Thap Muoi commune.
19. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phu Dien commune and Thanh My commune into a new commune called Thanh My commune.
20. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Lang Bien, My Dong and My Qui communes into a new commune called My Qui commune.
21. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Kieu and Doc Binh Kieu communes into a new commune called Doc Binh Kieu commune.
22. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Thanh Loi commune and Truong Xuan commune into a new commune called Truong Xuan commune.
23. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Hung Thanh commune (Thap Muoi district) and Phuong Thinh commune into a new commune called Phuong Thinh commune.
24. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phong My commune and the remaining part of Gao Giong commune after the arrangement according to the provisions of Clause 12 of this Article into a new commune called Phong My commune.
25. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Phuong Tra commune and Ba Sao commune into a new commune called Ba Sao commune.
26. Arrange the entire natural area and population of My Tho town and My Hoi commune (Cao Lanh district), My Xuong, My Tho into a new commune called My Tho commune.
27. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Hoi Trung, Binh Hang Tay and Binh Hang Trung communes into a new commune called Binh Hang Trung commune.
28. Arrange the entire natural area and population of My Long commune and Binh Thanh commune (Cao Lanh district), My Hiep commune into a new commune called My Hiep commune.
29. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan My commune (Lap Vo district), Hoi An Dong, My An Hung A and My An Hung B into a new commune called My An Hung commune.
30. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Long Hung A, Long Hung B and Tan Khanh Trung communes to form a new commune called Tan Khanh Trung commune.
31. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Lap Vo town and Binh Thanh commune (Lap Vo district), Vinh Thanh, Binh Thanh Trung into a new commune called Lap Vo commune.
32. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Thanh and Tan Phuoc communes (Lai Vung district), Dinh An commune, Dinh Yen commune into a new commune called Lai Vung commune.
33. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Lai Vung town and Long Hau, Long Thang, and Hoa Long communes into a new commune called Hoa Long commune.
34. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Hoa commune (Lai Vung district), Dinh Hoa, Vinh Thoi and Phong Hoa into a new commune called Phong Hoa commune.
35. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Phu Dong, Hoa Thanh and Tan Duong communes into a new commune called Tan Duong commune.
36. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Cai Tau Ha town and the communes of An Phu Thuan, An Hiep, An Nhon, Phu Huu into a new commune called Phu Huu commune.

40. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Tan Thanh, Tan Hung and An Thai Trung communes to form a new commune called Thanh Hung commune.
41. Arrange the entire natural area and population of Hoa Hung, My Luong and An Huu communes into a new commune called An Huu commune.
42. Arrange the entire natural area and population of An Thai Dong, My Loi A and My Loi B communes into a new commune called My Loi commune.
