Details of 32 communes and wards in Can Tho after the arrangement and merger approved by the People's Council

    Can Tho - The City People's Council officially approved the policy of arranging and merging 80 commune-level administrative units to establish 32 commune-level administrative units.

    On April 25, the People's Council of Can Tho City held a meeting to approve a Resolution on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City in 2025.

    Agree to approve the policy of arranging and merging 80 commune-level administrative units of Can Tho city to establish 32 commune-level administrative units, including 16 wards and 16 communes. Details are as follows:

    1. Merging Tan An ward, Thoi Binh ward and Xuan Khanh ward (Ninh Kieu district), taking the name Ninh Kieu ward.

    2. Merge An Hoa ward, Cai Khe ward (Ninh Kieu district) and adjust a part of the natural area of 1.83 km2, population of 330 people of Bui Huu Nghia ward (Binh Thuy district), taking the name Cai Khe ward.

    3. Merging An Khanh ward and Hung Loi ward (Ninh Kieu district), taking the name Tan An ward.

    4. Merge An Binh ward (Ninh Kieu district), My Khanh commune (Phong Dien district) and adjust a part of the natural area of 0.35 km2, population of 97 people of Long Tuyen ward (Binh Thuy district), taking the name An Binh ward.

    5. Merging Tra An ward, Thoi An Dong ward and Tra Noc ward (Binh Thuy district), taking the name Thoi An Dong ward.

    6. Merge An Thoi ward, Binh Thuy ward and the remaining natural area of Bui Huu Nghia ward (Binh Thuy district), named Binh Thuy ward.

    7. Merge Long Hoa ward and the remaining natural area of Long Tuyen ward (Binh Thuy district), taking the name Long Tuyen ward.

    8. Merging Le Binh ward, Thuong Thanh ward, Ba Lang ward and Hung Thanh ward (Cai Rang district), taking the name Cai Rang ward.

    9. Merging Tan Phu ward, Phu Thu ward and Hung Phu ward (Cai Rang district), taking the name Hung Phu ward.

    10. Merging Chau Van Liem ward, Thoi Hoa ward, Thoi An ward (O Mon district) and Thoi Thanh commune (Thoi Lai district), taking the name of O Mon ward.

    11. Merging Truong Lac ward and Phuoc Thoi ward (O Mon district), taking the name Phuoc Thoi ward.

    12. Merging Long Hung ward, Thoi Long ward (O Mon district) and Tan Hung ward (Thot Not district), taking the name Thoi Long ward.

    13. Merging Thanh Hoa ward, Trung Nhut ward (Thot Not district) and Trung An commune (Co Do district), taking the name Trung Nhut ward.

    14. Merge Thuan An ward, Thoi Thuan ward and the remaining natural area of Thot Not ward (Thot Not district).

    15. Merge Trung Kien ward, Thuan Hung ward and adjust a part of the natural area of 0.94 km2, population of 4,789 people (Phung Thanh 1 area) of Thot Not ward (Thot Not district), taking the name Thuan Hung ward.

    16. Maintain the entire natural area and existing population of Tan Loc ward (Thot Not district).

    17. Merging Tan Thoi commune, Giai Xuan commune and Phong Dien town (Phong Dien district), taking the name Phong Dien commune.

    18. Merging Nhon Ai commune and Nhon Nghia commune (Phong Dien district), taking the name Nhon Ai commune.

    19. Maintain the entire natural area and population of Truong Long commune (Phong Dien district).

    20. Merging Thoi Tan commune, Truong Thang commune and Thoi Lai town (Thoi Lai district), taking the name Thoi Lai commune.

    21. Merging Dong Binh commune and Dong Thuan commune (Thoi Lai district), taking the name Dong Thuan commune.

    22. Merging Truong Xuan A commune, Truong Xuan B commune and Truong Xuan commune (Thoi Lai district), taking the name Truong Xuan commune.

    23. Merging Tan Thanh commune, Dinh Mon commune and Truong Thanh commune (Thoi Lai district), taking the name Truong Thanh commune.
