On January 16, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference to summarize the "Quang Trung Campaign" to quickly rebuild and repair houses for households whose houses were damaged by natural disasters and storms in the Central region recently.
Also chairing the conference were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.
At the meeting on December 30, 2025, summarizing 1 month of campaign implementation, based on the results achieved exceeding the set target, the Prime Minister directed localities to promote the spirit of "speed, boldness" to shorten the progress, strive to complete the entire reconstruction of houses for households whose houses were collapsed, collapsed, and swept away before January 15, 2026.
At the meeting on January 7, 2026, the Prime Minister directed ministries, branches, and localities, at the same time as repairing and rebuilding houses, to immediately deploy support to ensure the provision of essential electricity, water, and telecommunications wave services to people.
Handling environmental sanitation, preventing epidemics; ensuring traffic; organizing reviews and timely supporting essential equipment and supplies (such as TVs, refrigerators...) for difficult households, especially households whose houses were collapsed, collapsed, or swept away by floods.

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang said that as of December 30, 2025, 34,759 damaged houses have been repaired, 100% completed, of which 33,879 houses (reaching 97.5%) were completed 5-10 days earlier than planned.
By January 15, 2026, 1,597 houses had been basically completed and had to be newly built.
Gia Lai province has 651/674 houses completed before January 15, currently only 23 large-scale houses remain, the province is determined to complete them completely before January 19, 2026.
Dak Lak province has 590/606 houses completed before January 15, currently 16 houses built in the resettlement area have basically been completed, expected to be handed over on January 19, 2026.
Thus, 100% of households with housing damage have and will have safe and stable housing," Minister Tran Duc Thang said.
The Minister of Agriculture and Environment proposed and recommended that the Prime Minister consider directing a number of contents:
Accordingly, directing the review and completion of mechanisms and policies to support the construction and repair of safe houses before natural disasters; especially houses to prevent storms and floods for people in areas frequently affected by natural disasters.
Encourage the application of safe house designs, suitable for natural conditions, customs and people's financial capacity.
Continue to pay attention to allocating resources from the central budget, and at the same time have mechanisms to encourage the effective mobilization of social resources, businesses, and organizations at home and abroad to participate in supporting disaster recovery, stabilizing people's lives in a public, transparent, timely and effective direction.
Direct ministries, branches, and localities to continue to implement programs to support people in disaster-affected areas with essential household items and production tools, restore livelihoods associated with vocational training and job creation, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and develop sustainably.
Directing the strengthening of disaster forecasting and early warning; reviewing and adjusting residential planning and infrastructure in high-risk areas; continuing to invest in disaster prevention and control works, landslides, flash floods, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
