The Government Steering Committee summarizes Resolution 18-NQ/TW to discuss policies and regimes for redundant cadres, civil servants and public employees.

The Government Steering Committee summarizing Resolution 18-NQ/TW on December 14 held its 3rd meeting, the Government Electronic Information Portal reported on the morning of December 15.

The meeting was chaired by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and attended by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh; and leaders of central ministries and branches.

At this meeting, delegates focused on discussing issues of public assets and finance after the restructuring of the apparatus; resources and policies for redundant cadres, civil servants, public employees and other subjects; budget for training and fostering cadres, civil servants, public employees; transitional investment projects and the roadmap for implementing those policies and regimes.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested the standing agency of the Steering Committee to study and absorb the opinions of delegates at the meeting such as principles, subjects, and implementation time to submit to competent authorities for further comments during the implementation process.

Previously, in Resolution No. 233/NQ-CP of the regular Government meeting in November 2024, the Government requested to urgently complete within a specific deadline in December 2024 the work related to organizational restructuring.

Resolutely and urgently arrange and streamline the Government apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.

The Government requests ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government, according to their assigned functions, tasks, and authorities, to thoroughly grasp the contents of the orientation and plan, and the progress of the arrangement and streamlining of the Government's apparatus as required by the Central Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.

Focus on propaganda work, create consensus and unity in the arrangement process; propose plans to improve the organizational structure.

Do a good job of political and ideological work for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the process of streamlining the organizational apparatus; have solutions to resolve regimes, policies and issues related to cadre work.
