On October 16, reporting on the contents arising between the two sessions of the 7th Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said that in October, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council received a request to resign from the position of Provincial People's Council delegate from Mr. Tran Quoc Nam and Mr. Pham Van Hau.
On that basis, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council issued a Resolution approving the dismissal of the two delegates from their duties as delegates as prescribed in Point b, Clause 3, Article 382 of the Law on Organization of Local Government for the two delegates mentioned above.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council reported to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval of the resolution on the contents arising between the two sessions. Including the approval of the dismissal of provincial People's Council delegates.
Previously, on the afternoon of September 22, the National Assembly Standing Committee met to consider and decide on the dismissal of Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, a member of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa province, from his duties as a Deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
Based on the Constitution, the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly and related legal provisions, along with the opinions of competent authorities and the submission of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered Mr. Tran Quoc Nam's application to resign from his duties as a National Assembly Delegate on September 18, conducted a discussion, secret ballot and issued a Resolution to remove him from his duties as a National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure.
Mr. Tran Quoc Nam (born in 1971), after Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces merged, was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province from July 1, 2025.
In early September 2025, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam and Mr. Pham Van Hau - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - submitted a resignation letter for personal wishes to resolve family matters.
