On the morning of April 15, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army visited and worked with the Military Command (CHQS) of Da Nang city.
At the working session, General Nguyen Trong Nghia listened to the City Military Command report on the results of national defense, local military tasks and border guard work in the past time.
Notably, the city's armed forces have thoroughly grasped and comprehensively deployed all aspects of work; effectively advised the Party committees and local authorities to lead and direct the implementation of national defense, military, and border guard tasks.
The City Military Command has well organized the implementation of the policy of merging, reorganizing, and bringing regular troops to the commune-level Military Command; actively participating in disaster prevention and control, rescue and relief. Effectively deploying many tasks, movements, and campaigns, including the Quang Trung Campaign, rebuilding houses for people affected by floods, and Party and political work activities, achieving practical results.
Concluding the working session, General Nguyen Trong Nghia requested the City Military Command to continue to thoroughly grasp the policies and guidelines of the Politburo, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense; constantly innovate and improve the quality of advisory work to build a strong all-people national defense, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
The Head of the General Department of Politics emphasized that the city's armed forces need to focus on improving the quality of training, building regularity, and complying with discipline; promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology associated with ensuring safety and military secrets.
Continue to promote the functions of a combat army, a working army, and a production labor army; build a comprehensively strong Military Party Committee and city armed forces, truly being the core force in building a solid defense area.
Closely coordinate with units of the Ministry, Military Regions stationed in the area, Police and other forces, maintaining national defense, security, and social order and safety.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia also requested the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Da Nang City to continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and taking care of building the city's armed forces to be increasingly strong, truly a solid support for Party committees, authorities and people in maintaining national defense and security, ensuring a peaceful and stable environment for building and developing the city's socio-economy.
