On July 14, the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation (NAD) and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City organized the announcement of the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City on the establishment of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City, and at the same time appointed personnel to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Inspection Committee of the Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City was established under the Party Committee of the Party Agencies of Ho Chi Minh City, on the basis of merging the Party Committee of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the Party Committee of the People's Council of Binh Duong province and the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for the 2025-2030 term consists of 15 people; the Standing Committee consists of 5 people; the Party Committee Inspection Committee has 7 people.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council is Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
Mr. Vo Van Minh, 53 years old, has an electrical engineering qualification, a bachelor's degree in politics and a master's degree in economics.
Before holding positions in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Vo Van Minh held many key leadership positions in the old Binh Duong province such as: Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the People's Committee of Di An town, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Duong province.
From July 2021, Mr. Vo Van Minh was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province.
On July 1, 2025, Mr. Vo Van Minh was appointed as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council after the merger.
