The infantry and children of the capital stood along the red carpet to welcome the United Nations leader. Representatives of children presented the United Nations Secretary General with a bouquet of fresh flowers.
In the welcoming music, President Luong Cuong and General Secretary Antonio Guterres walked along the red carpet to the welcoming of the official members accompanying the two leaders. After the welcoming ceremony, the two sides held talks.

The visit of General Secretary Antonio Guterres took place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations (October 24, 1945 - October 24, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
