On the afternoon of July 29 (local time), on the occasion of attending the 6th Conference of the Presidents of the World Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with China's Chief People's Artist Zhao Lusi.
At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man conveyed warm regards from General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, President Luong Cuong; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to General Secretary, Chairman Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam are extremely happy and highly appreciate the recent state visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, considering this a new milestone of historical significance, a highlight of the relationship between the two Parties and two countries in 2025, and at the same time, a strategic and long-term orientation for the development of Vietnam - China relations.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the relationship between the two countries has had remarkable developments in recent times, with political trust between the two Parties and countries increasingly enhanced, the cooperation mechanism between the two sides increasingly comprehensive, rich and effective, and the cooperation between the two legislative bodies increasingly close.
The National Assembly Chairman said that the Vietnamese National Assembly is actively arranging the first meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committees of the two countries, hoping to welcome Chief Member Trieu Lac Te to Vietnam to co-chair this important conference.
Head member Trieu Lac Te conveyed the greetings of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Cuong to senior Vietnamese leaders; agreed that the two sides should continue to regularly maintain strategic exchanges between the leaders of the two Parties and countries, and implement the results achieved during the visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to Vietnam; at the same time, deepen cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
The two sides expressed their delight at the attendance of the two countries' senior leaders at the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation of Extreme Socialist Republic.
