The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the Vietnamese community in Senegal is an inseparable part of the nation.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Senegal, on the afternoon of July 22 local time, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Senegal. Also attending the meeting was Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Senegal Samba Dang.

Delighted and moved to visit and meet the Vietnamese community in Senegal during the working trip to Senegal, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent all the people, staff and staff of the Embassy his best wishes for health and warmest greetings.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the Party and State of Vietnam always consider the overseas Vietnamese community, including the Vietnamese community in Senegal, an inseparable part of the nation.

In recent years, many practical policies have been implemented to support our people abroad. Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the work for overseas Vietnamese, along with Directive 45-CT/TW, has affirmed the important role of the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Highly appreciating the Organization of the Senegalese People (Kim Hoi) as a bridge connecting the two countries, the National Assembly Chairman hopes that Kim Hoi will increase information and exchange domestic situations for the Vietnamese community in Senegal to grasp, including the revolution of streamlining the apparatus to be efficient, effective and efficient, bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth; at the same time, promoting the country and people of Vietnam to international friends, including the Senegalese people.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the staff of the Embassy to further strengthen the work of caring for the Vietnamese community in Senegal; promptly inform about the Party's guidelines, policies and policies for the Vietnamese community abroad such as Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, Directive 45-CT/TW.

The Embassy needs to cooperate with domestic units, especially the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to teach Vietnamese to the people; pay more attention to creating favorable conditions for legal basis, as well as living and studying conditions for the Vietnamese community in the host country.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man wished people to overcome all difficulties and challenges to stabilize their lives; hoped that the National Assembly and the Senegalese Government would continue to support the Vietnamese community in Senegal to integrate with the host society, contributing to the prosperity of the Senegalese country and the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Senegal.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria and Senegalese concurrently Tran Quoc Khanh, there are currently about 3,000 Vietnamese and Vietnamese people of Vietnamese origin in Senegal. Although small, the community is always close, united, and turned to the homeland and country.
