National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with Japanese Prime Minister

Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru believes that Vietnam will continue to develop and soon become a leading country in Asia.

According to VNA, within the framework of his official visit to Japan, on the afternoon of December 5, at the Prime Minister's Office, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated Mr. Ishiba Shigeru on being re-elected as Prime Minister of Japan; conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru; and sent Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's invitation to Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru to visit Vietnam soon.

Affirming that Japan is one of the leading and long-term important partners, the National Assembly Chairman said that Vietnam supports Japan in promoting its active role and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru welcomed National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on his official visit to Japan; said that recently, during multilateral conferences, he had the opportunity to meet President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, saying that the relationship between the two countries is extremely good and there is a close connection between the two countries' senior leaders.

Sharing his impressions of his visit to Vietnam 35 years ago, Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru believes that Vietnam will continue to develop and soon become a leading country in Asia.

Announcing the results of legislative work, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, the Vietnamese National Assembly passed and commented on many important draft laws related to investment and business activities and is gradually perfecting a favorable legal corridor, improving the investment environment, helping foreign enterprises, including Japanese enterprises, to increase stable and long-term investment in Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that Japan continue to support Vietnam in its industrialization and modernization; promote and expand investment cooperation in infrastructure, clean energy, renewable energy, high-quality agriculture, green transformation, digital transformation, data centers, semiconductor chips, etc., areas in which Japan has many strengths; and Japan support Vietnam in participating in the global semiconductor supply chain.

Thanking the Japanese Government for providing ODA support to Vietnam over the past years, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that Japan soon implement new generation ODA projects.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to strengthen human resource training ties through promoting labor cooperation, high-quality human resource training, and people-to-people exchange; Vietnam will continue to send more workers to Japan, supporting Japan in responding to the aging population issue.

The two sides agreed to continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Japan, in order to make stronger contributions to Japan's development as well as to further promote and strengthen Vietnam-Japan relations.
