On the evening of November 19, Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam from November 18 to 22 at the invitation of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
Previously, on the morning of November 19, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc met with Chairman of the Czech Republic National Assembly.
At the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc expressed his joy when Chairman of the Czech Senate Milos Vystrcil chose Ho Chi Minh City as the first destination of the visit, demonstrating his appreciation for the role, potential and socio-economic position of the City.
He believes that the visit will contribute to strengthening traditional friendship, creating a strong momentum to promote Vietnam - Czech relations and cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ho Chi Minh City in the new period.
Discussing the cooperation orientation, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that the Czech's strengths in the fields of high technology, mechanics - machinery manufacturing, green energy - environment, healthcare, education - training, high-tech agriculture... are completely consistent with the city's development strategy, especially the goal of building a high-tech industry, promoting semiconductor - electronics clusters, robotics and upgrading the production value chain.

Expressing his pleasure at visiting and working in Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Czech Senate Milos Vystrcil assessed the relationship between the two countries over the past 75 years as a long journey of strong cooperation based on trust, sharing and similarities in the history of the struggle for independence, freedom, as well as aspiration for security and prosperity.
Mr. Milos Vystrcil affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is a leading dynamic and prosperous locality in Vietnam, so many Czech enterprises want to seek investment opportunities, promote trade and boost import-export turnover based on the traditional relationship between the two countries.
Regarding bilateral cooperation, Chairman of the Czech Senate Milos Vystrcil suggested that businesses of both sides should increase exchanges, cooperation, and mutual support, especially in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
Czech enterprises wish to boost exports to Vietnam and seek investment opportunities in the fields of energy, technology, automobile industry, etc.
In the immediate future, the Czech Republic will promote the reopening of the Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. The Czech Embassy and relevant agencies will increase exchanges, introductions and promotion of products and services to attract the business community and people of Vietnam, thereby promoting bilateral economic cooperation and deepening the relationship between the two countries.
