At the invitation of President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil will pay an official visit to Vietnam from November 18 to 22, 2025, the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on November 15 stated.
Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil was born on August 10, 1960 in Dacice, Czech Republic. He graduated with a major in Mathematics and Physics from the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno. Mr. Milos Vystrcil has been President of the Czech Senate since 2020.
Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil is sympathetic to Vietnam; interested and ready to facilitate the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic to integrate well with the local community.

Vietnam and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations on February 2, 1950 . The two countries have upgraded their strategic partnership to a strategic partnership in 2025.
Trade between the two countries has grown in recent years but is still modest compared to potential.
Vietnam exports to the Czech Republic goods such as: Coffee, pepper, fresh - dried fruits, peanuts, sweet soup, rice, rubber, seafood, shoes, textiles, handicrafts, computer components...
Vietnam imports from the Czech Republic: Electronics, machinery, chemicals, garments, fabric, leather goods, machinery and equipment, milk and dairy products, pharmaceuticals, mechanical products, flexible substances, glass products...
The Czech Republic is one of the first EU member states to ratify the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the Vietnam - EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
In terms of investment, the Czech Republic has 41 FDI projects in Vietnam with a total capital of 92 million USD (ranked 50/147), mainly concentrated in the processing, manufacturing and mining industries.
The areas of investment cooperation with Czech strengths are energy, locomotives - railway cars, buses, electric trains, agricultural machinery, irrigation equipment.
Currently, Czech has implemented a project to establish a joint venture to produce automobiles of SKODA Auto Group with Thanh Cong Group in Quang Ninh with a total value of 450 million USD (to be operational in April 2025).
From 1999 to 2014, the Czech Government has granted a number of scholarships to Vietnamese students and graduate students for study (4-5 scholarships/year). The two sides have signed a new Agreement on educational cooperation for the new period.
There are currently nearly 100,000 Vietnamese people living in the Czech Republic. Basically, the Czech government facilitates the Vietnamese community to reside and do business according to the law. On July 3, 2013, the Czech Government decided to add a representative of the Czech people of Vietnam to the Ethnic Minority Council, thereby recognizing the existence of the Czech people of Vietnamese origin as the 14th ethnic minority in the Czech Republic.
