The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just established a Steering Committee of the City People's Committee on the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 (abbreviated as the Steering Committee).
According to the decision, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc will hold the role of Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Head of the Steering Committee includes: Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy (Standing Deputy Head of the Standing Committee); Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan; Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Le Hong Nam; Commander of the Command of Vu Van Dien City; Director of Lam Dinh Thang Department of Science and Technology; Director of Department of Home Affairs Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan.
In addition, the Steering Committee also has 27 members who are leaders of departments and branches of the City.
The Steering Committee will play a role in advising and advising the People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee in orienting important policies, strategies and strategies on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform.
The Steering Committee is also responsible for proposing breakthrough solutions to remove obstacles in the implementation of key programs, ensuring connectivity and efficiency in the city's operations and management.
In addition to strategic consulting, the Steering Committee also plays a coordinating role with departments, branches and localities in synchronously implementing inter-sectoral programs and projects.
In particular, the Steering Committee will be responsible for supervising and inspecting the progress and effectiveness of the implementation of major policies and initiatives of the city, including the action program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
In order to effectively support the Steering Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has also established 3 working groups, including: Project implementation team (led by the City Police Director); Science and technology team, innovation and digital transformation (headed by the Director of the Department of Science and Technology); Administrative reform group (headed by the Director of the Department of Home Affairs).
Each Working Group will be closely responsible in the assigned field, and at the same time direct and urge relevant agencies to carry out specific tasks.
